tell.rest (a Not Rest Inc. product) is a small, donation-funded library of stories. We collect as little as possible and sell nothing.
Anonymous usage events: which stories are opened, which chapters, notes and features get used, and a coarse country code. A random session id ties events together for one visit and is forgotten when you close the tab. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no IP addresses stored, no ad-tech. If your browser sends "Do Not Track", we don't record events at all. We also use Cloudflare (including its Turnstile bot check) to keep the site working; Cloudflare processes connection data per its own policies.
No accounts, no emails, no names. There is nothing to sign up for — you read, you ask, that's it.
Usage events are kept up to ~90 days for understanding what helps readers, then deleted.
